“Innovative Design in the Wild: Humana’s Immersive Experience in 101 TULUM

Humana is a project that rescues the authenticity of life in a village, using a design with volumes arranged randomly to create paths and offer an immersive discovery experience in the jungle.

This innovative approach includes a system of terraces that allows vegetation to embrace each level, achieving a harmonious symbiosis between the jungle and the architecture. Thus, a special connection between the natural and the constructed is established. In Humana, priority is given to local materials to capture the spatial essence of living immersed in the jungle. Its main concept is to offer apartments for living and sharing, providing intimate and cozy spaces.

Inspired by a spiral of volumes with views towards the lush jungle, at the center of the project are the restaurant and spa, acting as central cores. In Humana, common areas are shared on both the ground floor and upper levels, fostering interaction among residents and allowing them to enjoy recreational and natural spaces at different times of the day.
